Expertise:  Principles of plant Pathology, systematics of fungi and bacteria,    physiology of fungi and bacteria, advanced plant virology, applied microbiology and bio safety, diseases of major crops in Uganda and crop epidemics, serological tests and virus indexing, grafting with Ipomea setosa and virus diagnosis, food microbiology, advanced project planning and management, advanced geographic information and remote sensing, scientific inquiry and communication skills, advanced biostatistics, natural resource and landscape processes.
Research Interests Disease epidemics of forest and plantation trees, recommendations on measures to mitigate the disease epidemics of forest and plantation trees, identification of causative agents of forest and plantation tree diseases, ecological distribution of forest diseases, developing and implementing appropriate biological, chemical and integrated management techniques of forestry diseases, epidemiology of forestry diseases, epidemiology of viral diseases of families Convolvulacea (Sweetpotato) and Cucurbitacea (watermelons and pumpkins), vector-host relations of Sweetpotato mild mottle virus in sweetpotato crop genotypes.
